mode of action
How do the ingredients of the drug work?
Benfotiamine: The active ingredient is a fat -soluble precursor (Prodrug) of Thiamin (vitamin B1) and is very well absorbed in the body and quickly converted into its effective shape. Like thiamin (vitamin B1), the active ingredient is indispensable for the function of the nervous system and plays an important role in carbohydrate metabolism.
Pyridoxin (vitamin B6): The active ingredient in the body controls a number of metabolic processes, for example the production of protein components, of messenger substances of the nervous system such as adrenaline and the production of the red blood pigment. It also influences blood clotting. A lack of pyridoxin can therefore manifest itself through anemia or damage to nerves, skin or mucous membrane.
