Vitamin D contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system and the maintenance of normal bones, teeth and muscle function. Vitamin D , also called cholecalciferol, occupies a special position among vitamins, because the body can form it itself by sun exposure to the skin and store it in its muscle and adipose tissue. Therefore, with a lifestyle that involves little sun exposure, there may be a risk of vitamin D deficiency. However, regular consumption of vitamin D-rich foods rarely corresponds to the usual dietary habits, so that the intake of vitamin D through food accounts for only a small part of the vitamin D supply. Due to the ability of the organism to store vitamin D, it is also possible, if necessary, to consume only 1 capsule of a vitamin D-containing dietary supplement per week and thus still cover the vitamin D requirement for a whole week. Accordingly, 1 capsule of Debora contains 5,600 IU of vitamin D and thus the same total amount that would be supplied if one were to take 800 IU of vitamin D daily for a week. Composition 1 capsule of Debora 5,600 IU contains: 140 µg of vitamin D, corresponding to 5,600 International units (= IU) as a weekly consumption amount, dissolved in native flaxseed oil. Recommendation Debora 5,600 IU is intended for weekly consumption. This means: take 1 capsule per week with any meal with a little water.
