Description

The history of the Rooibostee of the traditional Rooibostee has always been very popular in South Africa. The shrub plant can mainly be found in the western mountain region of the South African province of West Cape, since this region offers ideal weather conditions. In order for the plant to grow, it needs cold, moist winter and hot, dry summer. The tea is known for its full -bodied taste and its typical red color. The latter arises from the first green needle -like leaves that become red thanks to fermentation. The name can be traced back to the name from the African rooi for red and Bos for Busch. In Germany, the tea is known under several names: rooibos, Roibusch and Rotbusch.
