If you don't feel better or worse, contact your doctor.
2. What should you consider before taking Calci D3-Denk?

Warnings and precautionary measures:

If you tend to form kidney stones and kidney calcification, or if you occur in your family-containing kidney stones are. By taking Calci D3-Denk, the excretion of calcium in the urine increases. This may increase the formation of calcium-containing stones in kidney and urine bladder in the first months of treatment. You can avoid this by drinking a lot.
if you suffer from restricted kidney function. You should then only use Calci D3-Denk with regular monitoring of the calcium and phosphate concentrations in the blood and urine.
if you have a lower phosphate concentration in the blood. Calcium salts reduce the absorption of phosphates.
If you also take other calcium or vitamin D containing medicines. The dose of vitamin D in Calci D3-Denk must then be taken into account. If you also take vitamin D or calcium, you should only do this under medical monitoring. Your calcium levels in the blood and urine must then be monitored.
If you also take antacids (drugs for reducing gastric acid) or other basic substances, since this can lead to a milk alkaline syndrome (Burnett syndrome). The milk alkaline syndrome usually only occurs after excessive calcium intake.
if you suffer from a disturbance of the parathormone. (The parathormone regulates the calcium concentration in the blood). Your vitamin D3 requirement can then be reduced. To avoid overdosing, you should take vitamin D preparations with a lower active ingredient content. Your doctor will advise you accordingly.
If you take Calci D3-Denk for a long time. In this case, you should regularly monitor the calcium levels in the blood and urine as well as kidney function. This is particularly important in older patients and if you take medicines against heart failure (heart glycosides) or draining medicines (diuretics).
if you have increased calcium concentration in the blood or there are signs of reduced kidney function. The dose of Calci D3-Denk then has to be reduced or the treatment is interrupted.
If you are disturbed by the excretion of calcium and phosphate over the kidney. The calcium levels in the blood and urine should then be monitored regularly for them.
if they are treated with certain drilling medicines (benzothiadiazin derivatives). The calcium levels in the blood and urine should then be monitored regularly for them.
If you could hardly move for a long time. The calcium levels in the blood and urine should then be monitored regularly for them.
If you suffer from sarcoidose, an autoimmune disease that mainly affects lungs and lymph nodes. The calcium levels in the blood and urine should then be monitored regularly for them.
If you suffer from Achlorhydrie (an illness associated with a reduced formation of gastric acid). In this case you should take Calci D3-Denk together with a meal.
