    1. What is folic acid Lomapharm 5 mg and what is it used for?
    Folic acid Lomapharm 5 mg is a vitamin preparation. Folic acid lomapharm 5 mg is used to treat folic acid deficiencies that cannot be remedied dietetically.
    2. What do you need to consider before taking folic acid Lomapharm 5 mg?
    Folic acid lomapharm 5 mg must not be taken if they are hypersensitive to folic acid or one of the other components of folic acid Lomapharm 5 mg. The increase in young red blood cells (reticulocytes) caused by folic acid can mask a vitamin B12 deficiency. Due to the risk of irreversible neurological disorders, anemia must be ensured before the therapy of anemia due to disturbed development of red blood cells (megaloblast anemia) that this is not based on a vitamin B12 deficiency. The cause of a megaloblast anemia must be clarified before the start of therapy. Special care in taking
    folic acid Lomapharm 5 mg is required:
    Even in the event of life-threatening anemia due to disturbed development of red blood cells (megaloblast anemia), a possible vitamin B12 deficiency must be excluded due to the risk of permanent damage to the nervous system before the start of therapy become (ensuring serum and erythrocyte samples and determination of the vitamin B12 content).
    When taking folic acid Lomapharm 5 mg with other medicines:
    Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have other medicines or have recently taken / applied, even if it is not prescription drugs . The administration of folic acid can reduce the blood levels of funds against seizures (anticonvulsiva, e.g. phenytoin, phenobarbital, primidone) and thus may increase the willingness to seize. With the gift of high doses, it cannot be ruled out that folic acid lomapharm and at the same time administered inhibitors of folic acid (folic acid antagonists), such as: B. certain drugs against bacterial infections or malaria (trimethroprim, proguanil, pyrimethamine) and methotrexate (active ingredient, etc. for the treatment of cancer), inhibit each other. The simultaneous administration of folic acid and fluorouracil or oral fluoropyrimidines (e.g. capecitabine) (medicinal substances for the treatment of cancer) can lead to an impairment and thus to increase the cell -damaging effect of fluorouracil or oral fluoropyrimidines (e.g. capecitabine) to lead. This can z. B. express in severe diarrhea. Chloramphenicol (active ingredient to treat infections) can prevent the response to treatment with folic acid Lomapharm 5 mg and should therefore not be administered to patients with severe folic acid deficiency symptoms.

    This medicine contains lactose. Please only take folic acid Lomapharm 5 mg after consultation with your doctor if you know that you suffer from intolerance to certain sugar.
    3. How can folic acid be taken 5 mg?
    Always take folic acid Lomapharm 5 mg exactly after instruction in this package insert. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not quite sure. Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
    depending on the need 1-3 tablets folic acid lomapharm 5 mg per day (corresponding to 5-15 mg folic acid).
    Type of application:
    The tablets are taken with some fluid for meals.
    Duration of the application:

    4. What side effects are possible?
    Like all medicines, folic acid Lomapharm can have 5 mg side effects, but they do not have to occur with everyone.

    Keep drugs for children inaccessible. You can no longer use the medicine after the expiry date specified on the karton and the blister packs. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month. Store in the original packaging to protect the content from light and moisture.
