with pronounced potassium raving (hypocalaemia) (serum potassium below 3.2 mmol/l), especially with existing metabolic acidification (metabolic acidosis).
for neuromuscular disorders or cardiac arrhythmias for potassium raving.
with potassium raving with the simultaneous treatment with digitalis.

Warnings and precautionary measures:
Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking potassium.
Special caution when taking potassium is required:
in Sichelzellanemia,
With simultaneous treatment with potassium -saving diuretics (drainage agents), aldosterone antagonists, ACE inhibitors, anticholinergics or possibly kidney -damaging medication (non -steroidal anti -phlogistics - inflammatory inhibitors - among others). By interaction with these drugs, suddenly occurring acidification (acidosis), acute restriction of kidney function or other conditions, too high potassium content in the blood (hyperkalaemia) can occur. Before use, electrolyte and acid-base status, the cardiac arrhythm and especially in older patients, are to control kidney function. During the treatment, these parameters must initially be monitored in shorter, later at longer intervals.
Taking potassium Verla together with other drugs:
inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have recently used other medicines or intend to apply other medicines. The effect below can be influenced below.
Heart glycosides, e.g. Digitalis: An increase in potassium concentration in the blood and body water (extracellular) reduces their effect, a degradation increases the cardiac arrhythmias.
Aldosterone antagonists, potassium-saving diuretics (drainage agents), ACE inhibitors, non-steroidal anti-phlogistics (inflammatory inhibitors) and peripheral analgesics (pain relievers) reduce potassium excretion via the kidney.
Anticholinergics inhibit the intestinal movements and therefore increase the risk of side effects in the gastrointestinal area when used at the same time.
The citric acid contained in potassium is increasing the absorption of aluminum and wheat salts and thus increasing their side effects.
