Cetebe vitamin C retard 500 is a vitamin C preparation. Vitamin C is vital for the human body and influences a variety of metabolic processes. It must be supplied regularly and in sufficient quantities because it cannot be formed by the body itself. Cetebe vitamin C retard 500 is a medicine to prevent vitamin C deficiency if the adequate intake is not secured by nutrition and for the treatment of vitamin C deficiency diseases.
2. What should you consider before taking Cetebe vitamin C retard 500?
Cetebe vitamin C retard 500 must not be taken:
if you are allergic to ascorbic acid (vitamin C) or one of the other components of this medicine mentioned in section 6.
If you suffer from oxalate-containing bladder or kidney stones (oxalate urolithiasis) or have suffered in the past.
If you suffer from an illness in which too much iron is stored in the body (thalassemia, hemochromatosis, sideroblastic anemia).
If you know that you tend to save more iron.
