1. What is zinc beta and what is it used for?
Zink beta contains a mineral with zinc sulfate monohydrate. Areas of application: For the treatment of clinically secured zinc deficiency states, provided that they cannot be remedied in terms of nutrition.
2. What should you consider before taking zinc beta?
Zink beta must not be taken if you are allergic to zinc sulfate monohydrate or one of the other components of this drug mentioned in section 6.
Warnings and precautions:
Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking zinc beta. During the treatment, the serum levels of copper, iron and zinc must be checked regularly.
Taking zink beta together with other medicines:
inform your doctor or pharmacist if you take/use other medicines, recently taken up/use other medicines or intend to use/use other medicines. Zinc can affect the absorption of copper. Zinc is bound by chelatbilders, e.g. D-penicillamine, dimer cappeapropanic acid (DMPS) or ethylendiamintetra vinegar acid (EDTA). If zinc and iron salts become at the same time, the absorption of zinc can be reduced.
pregnancy and lactation:
If you are pregnant or breastfeed, or if you suspect that you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Zink beta may only be used during pregnancy in the case of detached zinc deficiency in serological (in the blood).

Zink beta contains sodium:
A effervescent tablet contains 12 mmol (275 mg) sodium. If you have to adhere to a salt arm of diet, you should take this into account.

This medicine contains Sorbitol. Please only take Zink Beta after consulting your doctor if you are aware that you suffer from intolerance to certain sugar.
3. How should Zink Beta be taken?
Always take this medicine exactly after consultation with your doctor or pharmacist. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Adults occupy ½ -1 effervescent tablets every day (corresponding to 12.5 -25 mg zinc). Loosen the effervescent tablet in half a glass of water (150 ml) and drink the glass completely, preferably after a meal. The duration of the treatment depends on the severity of zinc lack.
If you have taken a large amount of zinc beta than you should:
The side effects given under point 4 can occur. Signs of overdose are metal taste on the tongue, headache, tiredness, nausea and vomiting. In this case, finish zink beta and ask your doctor for advice.
If you have forgotten the intake of Zink Beta:
don't take twice the amount if you have forgotten the prior intake.

4. What side effects are possible?
Like all medicines, this medicine can also have side effects, but this does not have to occur with everyone. No side effects are observed in the event of intended use. When overdosing, metal taste occurs on the tongue, headache, fatigue, nausea and vomiting.

5. How is zink Beta to be kept?

What Zink Beta contains:
The active ingredient is zinc sulfate monohydrate. 1 effervescent tablet contains 69 mg zinc sulfate monohydrate (corresponding to 25 mg zinc). The other components are: citric acid, sodium hydrogen carbonate, sodium carbonate, sodium cyclamate, sodium citrate, saccharin sodium 2 H2O, lemon aroma (containing sorbitol).

white round (diameter approx. 21.8 - 22.2 mm) tablet with one -sided fracture notch. The tablet can be divided into the same doses. Zink beta is available in packs of 20, 40 and 100 effervescent tablets. Not all package sizes may be placed on the market.

Important information
What should you consider?
- be careful with allergy against zinc!
- be careful with allergy against the sweetener cyclamat (E 952)!
- Beware of allergy against the sweetener saccharin (E 954)!
caution in the event of intolerance to fructose (fructose). If you have to adhere to a diabetes diet, you should take the sugar content into account.
